Calendar GuidelinesLets set some ground rules . Each calendar should not be too cluttered; that's the advantage of having multiple calendars. Users can choose to turn off calendars but we still should be careful about posting events in too many places. Your cooperation in not spamming the calendars is appreciated! Here's the concept: Events should go only where they logically belong. EX. A small picnic in Coon Rapids broadcast on every calendar is unlikely to be attended by folks from Burnsville. Your SD calendar would be fine and perhaps a few SDs near yours but it may not belong on the CD3 calendar. The exception might be for your annual SD fundraiser. General Interest This calendar is likely to have the largest number of entries. It includes non-DFL events related to political and social issues. Forums, Movies, Speeches and Documentaries on political and social issues Non DFL education and training events Issue organization meetings Parades, festivals, and fairs with opportunities for DFL and candidate visibility Non CD3/SD Dinners Rallies for progressive groups Statewide events CD3 Calendar These should be events appropriate to the entire CD. Keep phone banks and doorknocks off this calendar unless they are truly CD-wide. MN House candidates can post in their SD calendars. They can also sign up for their own Google calendar which can be included in the SD calendar! (webmeisters -call Geo or Matt for code). Campaign Phonebanks and Doorknocks Visibility Events Debates Candidate Public Talks Fundraisers Training Sessions Open Houses Candidate events of legitimate interest to the entire CD should be sent to Geo, Matt, Leslie or Carol Woehrer for posting.
